Chongshin University (President Jae-seo Lee) announced on the 3rd that it has been selected as an educational institution for the enhancement of digital capabilities in Gyeonggi Province.
This marks the second consecutive year for Chongshin University to be selected. This year, the university will focus on strengthening education for people with disabilities, leveraging its strengths in this area. It plans to develop and implement a digital literacy education program specifically designed for persons with disabilities in collaboration with the university's Disability Support Center and Chongshin Media Research Institute. The project is being conducted by the Korea Institute for Intelligent Information Society under the Ministry of Science and ICT.
The initiative is part of the government and local authorities' efforts to expand non-face-to-face services utilizing digital technologies. Chongshin University's Industry-Academic Cooperation Division participated as an educational institution in a consortium with FNJ last year. This year, it formed a consortium with FNJ and Twigfarm. Professor Byung-deok Son, the Director of the Industry-Academic Cooperation Division at Chongshin University, explained, "This year, Chongshin University is responsible for 10% of the overall project, focusing on training instructors and developing content."
