Twigfarm, Creator of a Digital Content Localization Platform, Attracts Series A Bridge Investment

Twigfarm, creator of digital content localization platform, announced on April 4, 2023 that they have secured a series A bridge investment worth 1 billion KRW (~USD 800k). The bridge investment was made by ICH, a KOSDAQ-listed company. Twigfarm plans to utilize the investment funds for marketing, R&D, and overseas expansion.

 

Twigfarm is an AI technology company specializing in natural language processing (NLP)and has been operating a service-oriented software (SaaS) called "LETR Works" for digital content localization, including web novels, webtoons, videos, and games.

 

LETR Works is a solution that maximizes the convenience of localization tasks, incorporating a machine translation engine called "LETR" that applies translation memory. It includes features such as comparative translation, review tool, custom localization, document parsing (sentence analysis), and de-identification. LETR is a hybrid translation engine specialized in various genres of digital content, such as web novels, webtoons, dramas, and movies, aiming to enhance localization quality.

 

CEO Sunho Baek stated, "The secured funds will be used for marketing to reach more customers with LETR Works and for expanding into overseas markets such as the United States and Japan. Moreover, we plan to invest in the development of multi-modal natural language processing technologies to quickly seize and commercialize new technologies for leading the future. By integrating our localization technology with large neural network models like ChatGPT, which is currently receiving worldwide attention, we can provide new customer conveniences that were previously impossible."
