Content Promotion Center successfully operated a content exhibition hall at Next RISE 2024.
[Financial News] The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (Minister Yoo In-chon) and the Korea Creative Content Agency (Director Hyun-rae Cho, hereinafter Kocca) successfully concluded the operation of the content startup exhibition hall at "Next RISE 2024, Seoul" held at COEX in Samsung-dong, Seoul on the 13th and 14th.
Next RISE is Asia's largest global startup event. This year, it was the largest ever, with participation from over 100 overseas startups from 20 countries including the United States, Japan, and Germany, as well as domestic and international giants such as Hyundai, LG Electronics, Microsoft, Intel, and Ford.
■ Providing opportunities for K-Content startups to expand globally through exhibitions and corporate pitching
At this event, Kocca operated the 'Content Pavilion' exhibition hall and hosted the 'KNOCK Special Round,' a pitching event for content startups, to maintain global investment and expand business opportunities. The exhibition hall, the largest among participating organizations this year, included outstanding content startups such as Video Monster, Playcurio, Tag by Company, HiLocal, Trinidolls, Twig Farm, Bells Inc., SoulX, ShareBox, and HighStranger, which demonstrated the convergence of the latest technologies and content from augmented reality to extended reality, media art, and artificial intelligence, attracting the attention of visitors and investors.
On the second day of the event, the KNOCK Special Round was held to expand investment in content companies. KNOCK is Kocca's representative program to attract investments by connecting private investors with promising content companies.
Eight excellent companies in the field of new technology-integrated content participated in this event, including Muse Blossom, Brush Theater, Video Monster, SketchSoft, Jiemotion, Kai, Caribers, and Twig Farm. Kocca provided various supports such as pitching for investment and networking programs to help participating companies attract investments from investors and financial sector professionals.
■ Actively supporting the growth of K-Content startups through stage-specific support and enhancing global capabilities
Kocca is making multifaceted efforts to discover and nurture future entrepreneurs leading K-Contents, from prospective entrepreneurs to early and mid-stage startups, and is conducting a global accelerating program to enhance global capabilities. In addition, efforts are being made to activate the ecosystem of domestic content startups through supports such as residence space and production infrastructure.
In addition, Kocca signed a business agreement with the Korea Venture Capital Association on June 14 to activate global investment attraction for domestic content companies. Following this agreement, Kocca and the Korea Venture Capital Association plan to cooperate closely to attract domestic and international investments for cultural content companies.
