The Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning officially announced on December 30 (Friday) that 300 promising start-ups and venture companies with high growth potential were selected as the second "K-Global 300."
Company selection took place in accordance with the 'ICT Startup and Venture Policy Integration and Linkage Plan' established to efficiently support ICT startups and ventures. Promising startups and venture companies with global growth potential were selected for policy support from the Ministry.
The 2nd K-Global 300 was discovered and evaluated by eight organizations (National IT Industry Promotion Agency, K-ICT Born 2 Global Center, the Korea Entrepreneurship Foundation, the Institute of Information & Communications Technology Planning & Evaluation, the National Information Society Agency, the Korea Communications Agency, the Korea Internet & Security Agency, and the Korea Data Agency). 200 companies were selected through evaluation and verification of corporate capabilities, such as investment attraction, job creation, and overseas expansion performance, and 100 companies were selected after evaluation and verification of companies recommended by regional creative economy innovation centers.
Companies from Daejeon, Daegu, Busan, and non-metropolitan areas account for 22% of the selected startups and venture companies, and there are many companies that have won domestic and foreign startup competitions and attracted investment.
Companies selected for the K-Global 300 will be given preferential treatment when selecting various government start-up support projects necessary for the growth of start-ups and venture companies based on individual companies' demand (such as tenant space, R&D, overseas IR, consulting, funds, etc.). K-Global@ will fully support companies' entry into the global market by attending to their needs, such as sharing local market information and arranging opportunities to meet investors.
The second K-Global 300 companies are as follows.
