Twigfarm (www.twigfarm.net) is a company based on big data and artificial intelligence. It processes big data in real time and develops insights by means of AI learning. CEO Baek Sun-ho (photo) is a former member of Samsung Electronics' Israeli Telecommunications Research Institute. He left the company with the philosophy of ‘realizing good ideas that people need based on information technology (IT)’ and established Twigfarm. The name means "a farm that creates ideas."
Currently, Twigfarm is focusing on services that analyze and manage translation documents for companies. In recognition of the unique technology of the service, it signed a business agreement with ENSEL Partners' Korean subtitle translator, Chung-Ang University, Asia Hub, and Gachon University last year. In addition, it succeeded in attracting investment from Sunbo Angel Partners and is growing rapidly, being a recipient of the 2016 KDB Startup Encouragement Award and K-Global 300 Certification.
Twigfarm's ‘Gcon Studio’ is a business document translation management service. Customized translation dictionaries are created that can easily be compared with standard translation dictionaries for each field, and accurate translation services are also provided. Gcon Studio is upgrading by collecting accurate data that Google and Microsoft do not possess and by receiving high-quality feedback on its results from more than 150 professional translators across Asia.
CEO Baek expressed his aspirations, saying, “We will make the service required by our customers agile.”
