Patent translation quality is highly dependent on the translator's competence. Patent documents contain more technical terms than general documents, and more specific or idiomatic expressions are used to convey accurate meaning. For this reason, patent translators need technical understanding and logical thinking ability to accurately grasp the contents of patent documents as well as the linguistic sense required for general translation. However, even a professional translator with a lot of experience and experience cannot consistently provide accurate translation quality like a 'machine'. The newly developed artificial intelligence-based translation quality inspector "GCON INSPECT" was developed to reduce such human errors.
