Twigfarm Selected as Data Processing Company for Data Voucher Support Project

2019-07-11

Twig Farm (CEO Baek Sun-ho), a provider of artificial intelligence-based translation solutions, announced that it was selected as a data processing company for the data voucher support project conducted by the Korea Data Industry Promotion Agency (KData).

Through this, Twigfarm expects to reduce the cost burden and provide more accurate and high-quality translation services in translation in specialized fields such as law, patents, and bio based on its unique natural language processing technology and deep learning technology.

The difference between the solutions provided by Twigfarm is in establishing a customized "translation dictionary" suitable for special fields and customers. The translation dictionary, created by processing translation data based on artificial intelligence, incorporates jargon and words used only in the field into a database, improving the quality of self-translation and reducing costs by about 30-80% when requesting additional translation requests.

Through this support project, Twigfarm plans to provide three representative solutions based on artificial intelligence developed in-house: Gcon Corpus, Gcon Inspect, and Gcon Studio.

Gcon Corpus is an artificial intelligence-based parallel corpus creation solution developed by Twigfarm, which analyzes and arranges translated texts and original texts to first process them into a corpus form, helping to build a translation dictionary.

Gcon Inspect is a solution that inspects and verifies translation quality. It helps to improve translation quality by automatically notifying the translator whether the terms defined based on the ‘translation dictionary’ are applied correctly to the translated text, and also checks for consistency, typographical errors, and proper vocabulary selection.

Gcon Studio is an artificial intelligence-based customized translation platform. The data continuously accumulated based on the built-up ‘translation dictionary’ provides a more accurate customized translation service through artificial intelligence. Through this, errors and confusion caused by variations in translators or staff and differences in translation ability between individuals are minimized, and the consistency and accuracy of translation quality are increased to reduce costs and increase work time efficiency.

Twigfarm CEO Baek Sun-ho said, “Although artificial intelligence-based translation solutions exist, more accurate customized translation services for technical terms are still insufficient. Through Twigfarm's AI-based solution, it is possible to minimize repetitive work by building a database called 'translation dictionary'. We hope that various small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) seeking overseas expansion will be able to grow together by reducing the burden of translation work with Twigfarm's technology.”
