2020-01-10

Twigfarm, a resident of the Korea Creative Content Agency CKL Business Support Center, is a startup that provides professional translation solutions for artificial intelligence through natural language processing (NLP) technology based on deep learning and professional translators.

Twigfarm announced on the 10th that it is being evaluated as having contributed to discovering a new niche market by surpassing Google in the Korean-English machine translation in the legal field.

Compared to the actual translation results, Twigfarm's machine translation scored well in the score calculated by analyzing the accuracy of the term or the appropriateness of the expression.

Baek Sun-ho, CEO of Twigfarm, said, "The results are significant because we want to prove the possibility of expanding the artificial intelligence technology developed by Twig Farm and its market competitiveness."

Twigfarm provides language services in a total of 21 languages, including Chinese, Japanese, and Russian, as well as Korean-English and English-English translation through the artificial intelligence-based online translation platform "Gcon Studio." Specialized translation fields are also diverse, including chemistry, biotech, and patents, and it is said that the technology of artificial neural network translation will continue to expand into other languages.

Twigfarm signed a contract with Morningside Translation, the world's top patent company, this year, and is providing machine translation post-Editing (MTPE) patent translation services, a combination of artificial intelligence-based machine translation and professional translator reviews. Recently, it was selected as a data processing company for the data voucher support project conducted by the Korea Data Industry Promotion Agency.

CEO Baek Sun-ho said, "As companies around the world dream of entering the global market, Twigfarm's goal is to help language not be an obstacle to securing competitiveness. Business translation in the specialized field is different from general translation, so we will mobilize all our technology to provide accurate translation solutions."
