Twigfarm(CEO Sun-ho Baek), an AI-based Natural Language Processing (NLP) specialized company, has been awarded the grand prize at the 'AICL Open Demo Day' organized by the Gwangju Information and Content Agency (GICON).
The 'Open Demo Day,' hosted by the ‘GICON’ and the ‘AI Content Convergence Lab’, is an event held to support AI startups and entrepreneurs with creative ideas and innovative technological capabilities.
A total of four teams were selected as finalists, receiving a total prize money of 20million KRW (16,000 USD). To ensure professionalism and fairness in the selection process, six venture capitalists and legal experts participated in the judging panel.
Twigfarm, the grand prize winner, introduced their Software as a Service (SaaS) solution called LETR for digital content localization during the company presentation.
LETR provides cloud-based editing tools for localizing various digital contents such as webtoons, videos, and web novels. It also offers an AI-based hybrid machine translation engine and an inspection tool through Restful API services. Twigfarm has developed customized technologies and tools optimized for the localization of new forms of digital content based on their in-house language engine and data.
Particularly, with the recent acceleration of the global market expansion for K-content, there is a growing demand in the industry for solutions that can localize more content faster and more accurately. Twigfarm has gained attention as a team that is expected to experience continuous growth in response to this demand.
Sun-ho Baek expressed his delight at introducing the LETR technology and services through this Open Demo Day, stating, "We will continue to do our best to support the global expansion of K-content through AI technology research and solution development.
