Heybunny, Winner of '2022 Media Startup Support Program"

Heybunny, the newsletter platform service by Twigfarm, an AI natural language processing(NLP)specialist company led by CEO Sun-ho Baek, has been awarded the Grand Prize in the "Media Startup Support Program" organized by the Korea Press Foundation(KPF).

 

The "Media Startup Support Program," hosted by the KPF, is an annual program aimed at supporting innovative services and technological development utilizing news content. In the competition held in March, 16 teams were selected based on excellent evaluations. The selected teams received various programs to support the growth of startups, including development funding and customized mentoring.

 

Heybunny is a newsletter subscription platform that has been providing a service where users can access various newsletters from domestic and international sources in one place since April 2021. Notably, more than 80% of Heybunny's primary users belong to the 20s - 30s, which is the most active group in utilizing newsletters. The total number of newsletter content read by all members has exceeded 260,000, showing continuous growth.

 

As the recipient of the Grand Prize, Heybunny has presented the experiences and values created by the Heybunny service under the theme "Readable Content in the Time of Unread" at the ‘Journalism Week’ event hosted by the KPF on November11.

 

CEO Sun-ho Baek expressed his anticipation for Heybunny's growth, stating that the newsletter market continues to grow globally. He highlighted the strength of Heybunny, which utilizes the company's AI-based machine translation technology to translate overseas newsletter content into Korean, allowing users to enjoy it in their native language.
